Wool felt is a product that we have used on our horses for many years with great results. We have tried many fad pads and always go back to using wool felt. We have researched wool felt to bring you the best felt pads. We design the quality pads at an affordable price.
Living in southern Ontario we wanted a durable, antibacterial, moisture wicking pad that gives your horse even more comfort in hot or cold climate
We designed a traditional, attractive pad that is durable and easy to look after.
The underside of our pads demonstrated in the photo shows the leather seam, which is designed relieve pressure on the spine and increase breathability. Our pads incorporates a stabilizing design that helps reduce movement and slippage. All our pads are designed with 1/2” thick felt as not to inhibit saddle fit but enhance it.
These pliable natural products allow our pad to form to your horses back and thus do not inhibit movement or comfort. Ethically produced products are only used to design our products and we hold our standards to the highest level.

Wool felt is a natural product using wool and in certain varieties synthetic materials pressed using heat and moisture into what we know as wool felt. There are many properties which make wool felt an ideal material for saddle pads.

Basic 80% Wool felt Half Pad 1/2" thick
Pictured is an example of our Basic 80% wool felt Three Quarter Pad. They are sold plain with a leather seam. You can add any options listed below to customize your own pad. These pads are our firmer option. They wear very well and are great for the rider with more than one horse or if you need a firmer supportive pad. Very easy to clean. Hose off and air dry. Our basic pads are standard sizing but can be customized to meet your specific needs.
Basic 100% Wool felt Half Pad 1/2" thick
Pictured is an example of our Basic 100% wool felt Half Pad. They are sold plain with a leather seam. You can add any options listed below to customize your own pad. This pad is soft to touch and a great option for those sensitive backs. This pad is best suited for the rider that has a saddle pad specifically for one horse. Our basic pads have standard sizes but can be customized to meet your specific needs. Pads are sold as Basic pads with your choice of leather colour Chestnut,Brown, Black or White **leather colours may vary as it is a natural product**
The under side of our pads has a channel that is 1.5” wide. It allows freedom of the spine, air flow and pressure relief.
The centre seam of our pads allows pressure release on the spine. Also allowing freer movement as the pad can move with the horse. Allowing some air flow across the back helps reduce heat build up.
Twinholm pads are designed with quality leather seams which are flexible to allow the pad to conform to your horses back. They have a unique design that helps prevent the pad from bunching under the saddle.

Does your horse need the high wither option?
An example of one our pads with the high wither option. Adding an inch of wool height at the front of the pad tapering down to wards the back. Also adding a 1/2” wider leather seam.

Which Wool Felt Pad Suits You & Your Horses Needs
If you Decide on a Full Pad. Will your Pad be Our standard size or fully Custom
When choosing your full pad decide what type of wool you prefer. Our 80% Dark Grey wool felt which is firmer. A great choice for the rider with several horses ro spends several hours in the saddle.
Or our softer 100% wool felt that is a light grey colour. This felt shapes and follows the contours of your horses back giving support with a softer feel.
Both types of felt we use are 1/2 inch thick giving support and protection without intefereing with your saddle fit.

Next choose your pad type. Traditional pad. The pad pictured ablove is a traditional pad with options including white sherpa fleece, High wither option and a girth strap.
