Basic 100% Wool felt Half Pad 1/2" thick
Pictured is an example of our Basic 100% wool felt Half Pad. They are sold plain with a leather seam. You can add any options listed below to customize your own pad. This pad is soft to touch and a great option for those sensitive backs. This pad is best suited for the rider that has a saddle pad specifically for one horse. Our basic pads have standard sizes but can be customized to meet your specific needs.
Basic 80% Wool felt Half Pad 1/2" thick
Pictured is an example of our Basic 80% wool felt Half Pad. They are sold plain with a leather seam. You can add any options listed below to customize your own pad. These pads are our firmer option. They wear very well and are great for the rider with more than one horse or if you need a firmer supportive pad. Very easy to clean. Hose off and air dry. Our basic pads are standard sizing but can be customized to meet your specific needs.

We offer 2 different types of felt.
100% Light grey. 1/2" thick. Although the softest wool to touch. Great for a horse that have a sensitive back or if you are riding just that horse with the pad. This Wool felt is soft to touch but maintains its shape. Your horse benefits from 100% wool and alll of its superior qualities.
Our 80% Dark Grey Wool 1/2" thick. Very Durable and extremely easy to clean. A great product for a rider riding several horses. This wool felt maintains its shape but is still yielding. This pad is a medium firmness. A very popular choice especially for the rider with more than one horse.
Wool felt is a great choice for the rider who needs just enough protection from a half pad without interfering with saddle fit and getting all the benefits of wool felt. Both wool types clean up well hosing them off and air drying.
Wool felt is a natural product using wool and in certain varieties synthetic materials pressed using heat and moisture into what we know as wool felt. There are many properties which make wool felt an ideal material for saddle pads.

Wool felt is a product that we have used on our horses for many years with great results. We have tried many fad pads and always go back to using wool felt. We have researched wool felt to bring you the best felt pads. We design the quality pads at an affordable price.
Living in southern Ontario we wanted a durable, antibacterial, moisture wicking pad that gives your horse even more comfort in hot or cold climate
We designed a traditional, attractive pad that is durable and easy to look after.
The underside of our pads demonstrated in the photo shows the leather seam, which is designed relieve pressure on the spine and increase breathability. Our pads incorporates a stabilizing design that helps reduce movement and slippage.
These pliable natural products allow our pad to form to your horses back and thus do not inhibit movement or comfort. Ethically produced products are only used to design our products and we hold our standards to the highest level.

The under side of our pads has a channel that is 1.5” wide. It allows freedom of the spine, air flow and pressure relief.

Leather Colours
Leather colours may vary. We may have a few different shades of brown, chestnut, black or white. Ask us if you have a preference.
Does your horse need the high wither option?
An example of one our pads with the high wither option. Adding an inch of wool height at the front of the pad tapering down to wards the back. Also adding a 1/2” wider leather seam.
